A car care plan, also known as a vehicle service contract, extended warranty or maintenance plan, is a contract between a vehicle owner and a provider that covers the cost of certain repairs and maintenance services for a specified period or mileage limit. These plans are typically purchased separately from the vehicle's original warranty and can offer additional protection once the manufacturer's warranty expires.
Car care plans vary in coverage, duration, and price, depending on the provider and the specific plan chosen. They may cover a range of services, such as:
- Engine and transmission repairs
- Electrical system components
- Cooling and heating systems
- Suspension components
- Fuel system components
- Exhaust system repairs
Some car care plans may also include additional benefits, such as:
- Roadside assistance: This may cover services like towing, flat tire changes, jump starts, and emergency fuel delivery.
- Rental car reimbursement: If your vehicle is being repaired under the car care plan, you may be reimbursed for the cost of renting a temporary replacement vehicle.
- Trip interruption coverage: If a breakdown occurs away from home, the plan may cover expenses like lodging and meals while your vehicle is being repaired.
At Kunes Auto Group, we offer three car care plan packages: Synthetic, Diesel, and Highline. Each package comes with two duration options: 36 months and 60 months.

All of our packages include oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, car washes, alignment checks, 10% off accessories on the current vehicle, $250 trade-in credit towards the next purchase, and a $500 collision deductible waiver at Kunes Auto Body Shop (for repairs over $2,500). The number of oil changes included varies depending on the package and duration.
