Spread Holiday Cheer: Shoebox Event with Kunes & Elkhorn Area Middle School

This holiday season, Kunes Auto Group is thrilled to partner with the Elkhorn Area Middle School’s Builders Club and National Junior Honor Society for a meaningful cause. Together, we will be packing shoeboxes filled with gifts for children in need around the world, in collaboration with Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child. You can check out our conversation from last year with Operation Christmas Child here. Join us for this special event on Saturday, November 16th, from 9 AM to 12 PM at Elkhorn Area Middle School!

The Shoebox Project is a meaningful initiative that encourages individuals and communities to fill shoeboxes with gifts that bring joy to children who may not otherwise receive holiday presents. Each box will contain a variety of items, including school supplies, hygiene products, toys, and other thoughtful gifts. By participating, you’re helping to spread smiles and share the spirit of giving during the holiday season.

We invite you to contribute to this wonderful cause by donating items for the shoeboxes. You can drop off school supplies, hygiene products, and gifts at any Kunes location leading up to the packing event. Alternatively, feel free to bring your donations directly to the packing party on November 16th. Here are some suggested items to include:

• School Supplies: notebooks, pencils, crayons, and markers
• Hygiene Products: soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs
• Gifts: small toys, games, or stuffed animals

Packing shoeboxes is not just about the items we gather; it’s also about coming together as a community to make a difference. We encourage families, friends, and individuals of all ages to join us on November 16th. Whether you’re packing boxes, donating items, or simply spreading the word, every little bit helps make a significant impact.
